Check this out! In partnership with the Tyler County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition, our very own Sir Lancelot has a message! "Take a stance with Lance!" is displayed on a billboard for all our community to see! A huge thank you to TCHS students, Makayla Farrell and Sloane Wall, for their great design that is now on display! Also, a big thanks to Mrs. Ash from the Tyler County FRN and our very own Mrs. Williamson for organizing these efforts! Take a stance and stay drug-free! #KnightsPride

As September comes to an end, we wanted to share some highlights from the TCHS Girls Volleyball Team. On 9/11/25, the team traveled to Virginia Beach to compete in the Endless Summer Volleyball Tournament. The varsity squad competed in Div IIa Class and faced some tough competition. Sometimes competing against schools with an enrollment of 1500 students or greater. With a 2-3 record, the varsity squad landed in the Bronze bracket and finished 11th out of 15 teams. The JV squad competed in the JV Division II class and faced some stiff competition, including another WV team from Preston County. With a 4-1 record, the JV squad found themselves in the Silver bracket where they finished #1. This was a great opportunity for the girls! We would like to thank the Tyler County BOE, Mr. Highley, TCHS Staff, and the entire community for your support in making this trip possible! #KnightsPride

Mrs. Jones nutrition class requested to make protein smoothie bowls. Each smoothie bowl held approximately 25 grams of protein powder. As a class we have learned that many people don't meet the recommended daily values for protein. Men should consume 56 grams per day while women should consume 46 grams a day. Protein helps build and repair muscle and is vital to our health. We also read food labels and applied real world application by sorting serving sizes and calculating grams of sugar per serving for our nutrition board. Many items we consume have added sugars that we may not be aware about, as a health consumer we can learn different methods of practice to improve our health in different ways. #KnightsPride
